UEFA EURO 2024 in Cologne

The city of Cologne, known for its cathedral and lively cultural scene, became the centre of world attention in the summer of 2024. The metropolis on the Rhine was one of ten host cities for UEFA EURO 2024, and a total of five matches were played in the Cologne stadium, including four group matches and an exciting round of 16.

UEFA EURO 2024 not only brought exciting football matches to the cathedral city, but also created unique experiences that penetrated deep into the heart of the city. One highlight for visitors was the Fan Zone on Heumarkt, which not only broadcast all the matches live, but also inspired visitors with numerous hands-on activities. The Tanzbrunnen was the first port of call for public viewing and its central location provided a unique backdrop for people from all over the world to meet and socialise.

In addition to the unforgettable football festival, it is above all the rousing emotions and the moments of cultural encounter that will be remembered for a long time to come. The summer fairytale 2.0 was a celebration of cultures, friendship and togetherness.
