Trend and innovation have a long tradition in Ehrenfeld. Since its creation in the 19th century, this district in the west of Cologne has been influenced by Cologne's industrial development, but it has also been a hotbed of resistance, a melting pot of cultures and home to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. In the shadow of the Ehrenfeld lighthouse, we shed light on the colorful mix of urban life. Industrial charm and street art characterize the streetscape and we encounter them again and again on our route through the lively district. We pass alternative bars, clubs, cozy cafés and trendy stores as well as various reference points from the industrial past of the neighborhood.
