On 2 February 2025, "Buhmann & Sohn" in Cologne-Ehrenfeld will become a stage for creativity and inspiration: The Mwana Mboka Marché invites art and fashion enthusiasts to an unforgettable event from 12 noon to 6 p.m. that not only celebrates the local art scene, but also makes an important contribution to supporting Welthungerhilfe's project work in Congo.
In a unique interplay of art, music and fashion, the Mwana Mboka Marché offers artists from the region a platform to present their works. Among others, works by the poet Kunstwärter Thiel, the designer Babu Noella with her colourful African print dresses and the screenprint artist Barney Druckmacher can be seen - and bought.
In addition to art, there is also exclusive fashion to buy - straight from the wardrobes of well-known social media stars. Among them are the creators Willy Will, Alicia Andrich, Kozinx and Anjo Alexandre. They are parting with their personal, fashionable favourites to support the event's good cause. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the fashion will go to Welthungerhilfe's Mwana Mboka project, which supports the education of young people in the Congo. The artists will also support Mwana Mboka with 50% of their proceeds from the day of the event.
Accompanying the art and fashion market, DJ sets by Moussa, Ceelo and Foudjo will provide rousing beats from 12 noon to 5 pm. From 5.15 pm, the German-Congolese singer Milaa will delight the audience with her live act.
