Leave as blank
with intaglio prints by Cornelia Stempel and Katharina Geilich
Two artists from the Graphikwerkstatt meet. They work in the same way: freely, experimentally and intuitively. Intaglio printing, a printing technique that requires planning, clear action sequences and rules of craftsmanship, is shown here detached from the classic bindings. Printing plates are embossed in an unusual way. Stempel and Geilich swap the printing blocks, cooperate on the handmade paper and develop a common visual language. They find themselves in the same sense of atmosphere and composition. The collaboration takes place in mutual respect and at the same time in the pull of the experimental. The showcase exhibition presents the current state of this artistic encounter.
