On 12 September 2027, Cologne’s history opens its doors: for the Open Monument Day®, more than 160 historic monuments invite visitors to experience the city from new perspectives. Many historical sites that are normally inaccessible or only open to a limited extent can be explored free of charge that weekend.
It becomes clear just how closely Cologne’s architectural heritage, its more than 2,000-year history, and life in the city are connected.
