Brides of the wind

The event "Brides of the Wind" takes visitors on a fascinating sound journey through surrealism. Albrecht Maurer and Norbert Rodenkirchen are inspired by the complex, often overshadowed works of surrealist authors such as Leonora Carrington, Mina Loy, Meret Oppenheim and Alejandra Pizarnik. Through the use of loopers, they create an atmospheric soundscape that illuminates the texts of these creative women in a new way. Bettina Marugg adds an extra dimension to the layered soundscape with her recitation, performances and singing. The social and cultural discourse initiated by these women sounds modern and contemporary in the performance. The programme is complemented by Rochus Aust, whose performance explores the potential of the remix and the examination of dreams and the perception of time. The event emphasises not only the artistic achievements, but also the continued relevance and inspirational power of these surrealist voices in today's society.
