Cologne Club Days

Concerts, Conference, Community and Clubbing

What defines the nighttime heartbeat of a city? It’s largely the city’s club culture. And that’s also true of Cologne. But what’s the situation like in detail? And how attractive are Cologne’s clubs for locals and clubbers? Every year, the Cologne Club Days highlight, promote and celebrate their urban culture venues from Friday to Sunday — with concerts, round-table talks, discussions, workshops and a long Club Night. The goal is to present diversity, reveal relevance and build on potential.

The Cologne Club Days are designed for everyone who is involved with Cologne’s clubs: clubbers, party people, club operators, interested visitors, event organizers, city institutions and cultural decision-makers. Thanks to this broad range of perspectives, the result is a colourful programme of daytime and evening activities. There’s still free admission to these event venues.

Savouring memories, highlighting the present, safeguarding the future

On Conference Day, various panels focus on hot topics such as club personnel, cultural space management, and the development and promotion of potential in Cologne’s club and festival scene.

On Community Day there are many workshops and opportunities to get together and share ideas face to face at a variety of locations. Here, everyone involved can discover new horizons for the clubbing scene — or enjoy a nostalgic look back at the club institutions of the past.

Saturday night: Clubbing time

At the CCD weekend, many Cologne clubs ranging from legendary to specialized invite everyone in for a club night — soul, house, R&B, techno, 80s, 90s and on and on, all night long. You can find an overview of the locations here:

Cologne Club Days started with KLUBKOMM in 2010

Cologne Club Days is a relatively new format created after Cologne Club Nights, which was launched in 2010 right after the founding of KLUBKOMM, an association with about 100 members that represents the interests of Cologne clubs and event organizers. The members include bars, DJs, music journalists, music managers and clubs.

KLUBKOMM represents its members regarding various issues, supports numerous activities, cooperates with many public services such as local authorities and national institutions, and attracts attention and support.
