street art/ art in public space
The defiant-looking boy at the entrance to BÜTZE Park was created by the Düsseldorf artist L.E.T. (Les Entfants Terribles). He has been working as a street artist since 1992 and has achieved international fame over the course of his long career. His motifs can therefore be found not only on the street, but also in galleries around the world.

The jumper's inscription "I will never say what you want to hear" not only matches the wearer's facial expression. It could also be the motto of street and urban art as such, which is generally not mainstream, but rather endeavours to criticise social and societal issues in order to draw attention to grievances. In this way, the motif also fits nicely into the context of the park entrance, where perhaps the youth of today are forging ideas in the park behind it that run counter to those of the adult world.
