It is not clear exactly what is happening in the mural by Argentinian artist El Marian. As viewers, however, we perceive an uncanny feeling, as the scene excerpt looks like an unjust confrontation, two against one.
El Marian knows how to use forms of representation that go as far as photorealism, often in the form of portraits. A recurring subject is scenes of conflict that show the struggle between (supposedly) weak and strong. In his works, the artist shows us the sad reality and does not close his eyes to people in need, poverty or suffering.
