Take off your shoes, feel the fine sand between your toes, and find a nice spot for your towel—with a view of the sparkling water surface. Blackfoot Beach offers more than just the idea of a day at the beach. Nearby, white gauze curtains flutter around the "daybeds". Somewhere in the background, a group squeals excitedly as they try to climb the floating island in the water. You hear the paddle strokes of a kayak, while beside you, a whole row of sandcastles is being created. Children splash around in the shallow water. Wonderful!

With its finely laid sand beach, lake view, and wooden stalls selling drinks and snacks, the man-made Blackfoot Beach evokes emotions and suggests a vacation—even if it's just for a day or a few hours. Here, you can swim safely, let your kids play in the designated non-swimmer area, or simply have a great time—from relaxing to sporty.

Bathing and Swimming

Whether on your towel, a deck chair, the beach bed, or under the parasol: you can enjoy your time at the Blackfoot Beach bathing area perfectly. Until the sun sets behind the treetops, after which the bathing area closes. Until then, it’s all about refreshing, bathing, splashing, digging, swimming to one of the islands, getting tickled by water plants, or simply floating on the air mattress until it might be time for some fries—or beer, water, lemonade, ice cream, and more. Because vacationing makes you thirsty and hungry. At Blackfoot Beach, everything is taken care of.

High Ropes Course: Adrenaline and Tingling Sensations Up to 20 Meters High

From spring to autumn, you and all your companions taller than 120 centimeters can go really high at Blackfoot Beach: On 7 different routes with varying difficulty levels, you swing from vine to vine, climb up to dizzying 20 meters, and finally zipline about 300 meters across the lake until you feel solid ground under your feet again. Of course, all safely secured with TÜV approval: securely in the harness.

On, In, and Over the Water

Want to glide over the shimmering water, just you and a boat or board—perhaps with one or more companions on board? Then rent a canoe, kayak, Canadian canoe, or a stand-up paddleboard at Blackfoot Beach. As a group of up to 8 people, the XL-SUP promises the ultimate summer and lake fun.

Diving: Buddy Dives, Fun Dives, Courses, and Equipment

Right at Blackfoot Beach, you’ll find the diving station of Blue Marlin Dive School. From here, you can embark on an exploration of the underwater world of Fühlinger See—whether through a course, with a buddy, as a fun dive, and more. Also available here are equipment and air for your diving cylinder.

Beach, Ball, and Events

Beach soccer, beach volleyball, beach handball—you don’t have to travel far to the beach for that. Simply rent the Beach Arena, 13m x 24m, covered with a thick layer of sand. Indeed, it's unique in Cologne.
A great time at the beach in summer or winter—Blackfoot Beach is perfectly equipped with its tents, gastronomy, group offers like archery, beach Olympics, raft building, or dragon boat racing, and other events. Enjoy particularly atmospheric hours at the "Caribbean Night" with salsa, reggae, Latin pop, and cocktails. Around Christmas time, "Blackfoot Winterland" provides a picturesque event with its fire pits, punch, and glittering fairytale landscape.
